Character Highlights

Here we go over a few of the notable characters.

Cloud Strife – DPS

Did anyone think that Cloud wasn’t going to do well? The spiky-haired hero is a very good DPS choice. He has some killer weapon choices for high damage, like Murasame and Apocalypse. Even with his starting Buster, he’s still solid and will make himself a boss’ worst nightmare.

Aerith Gainsborough – Support

The young Cetra is the best healer, and not by a small margin. Her Healing Wind limit break can come in clutch on a difficult boss fight by healing the whole party, and she holds up great as a support. When she’s not needed there, she can do some decent magic damage too.

Matt Winsord – DPS/Support

Wins by name wins by nature. Matt is one of the new faces in Ever Crisis and rounds out the SOLDIER team alongside Glenn and Lucia. He’s also the strongest link in that chain. Matt is a strong DPS, but if you can get hold of the weapon Prime Number he’s also able to deploy a powerful AoE heal. Matt can do it all.

How do Our Tiers Work?

Our tiers run from best to worst and rank the general usefulness of the party member.

  • S Tier: OP. The best of the best. Get one as soon as you can.
  • A Tier: Not as exceptional as S, but definitely very good. Will help you get through content with no problems.
  • B Tier:  Solid and dependable, but not exceptional. They won’t let you down, but you might switch them out later.
  • C Tier: Below average. Only useful in niche situations.
  • D Tier: Avoid like the plague.

We pull our ranks from our own gameplay, and from community response. Tier lists aren’t always totally objective, and your playstyle might suit things we rank lower! So, feel free to argue with us in the comments.
